Hi guys, I have been trying to import some 3d max characters with animation into OGRE rendering engine. To do this I mixed down all the animations my character has into the motion flow mode and then defining the script where I play all the animations one after another. And then create one ‘uniform motion’ from the script. Later on when converting my character to OGRE format, I can break down the uniform motion into several animations by specifying the starting and ending frame of each animation. Now the problem that I am having is that I want to control the position of my character through my rendering engine and to do that, I have to make the character’s animations stationary from 3d max.

Right now, when my character walks he also moves forward but I want these animations to be in place [stay at (0,0,0) at all time], so I can have the control over how much my character walks from OGRE. Can anyone help me out in how I can convert these animations into in place animations? Please explain the procedures as thoroughly as possible since I’m new at using 3d max studio.
