Other reviews I've read have noted that it sometimes loses connection with the receiver and hiccups for a moment until it reconnects. I've found this to be true as well, but it's placement issue. I have the receiver plugged into the front panel of my tower, and if I lean forward at my desk (so the controller is OVER the tower, in front of the receiver) I sometimes lose connection. This hiccup is easily rectified with the USB extension cable provided.

Just need some double sided tape to stick the extension / receiver in a better location on my desk and I'm set. Other than that hiccup, this controller is amazing. Every game I've played with it so far has just worked.

My computer thinks it's an XBox controller, and the button labels/colors match an XBox, so games that are already pre-configured to work with XBox controllers show the same icons/colors when teaching me how to play the game. The controller works great no input lag, comes with a usb extender cable if your getting interference.

X-input and Direct Input makes it compatible with most games. The layout being similar to the Dual Shock design is great with the button lay out of the Xbox controller. The d-pad is better then the Xbox controller and easier on your fingers then the Dual Shock. The triggers are a bit stiff but after using them a lot I don't notice. The Logitech profile software is a pain to actually set up but well it works if you want it. I personally hate xbox controllers.

And when I got some pc games it told me I could only use an xbox controller for the game. I was frustrated at first until I found this one. It's set up like a playstation controller but with xbox buttons which helped me buy this specific one. I've never had issues with the connectivity to the pc. And I've had the same batteries in it since february 2011 and they haven't died yet. I've used the controller a lot and thought it would die by now, but it's still going. I used this on Windows 8.1 and at first I could not get the controller to connect at all so I contacted Logitech Support and they told me to download an Xbox 360 driver, which it's very odd and annoying that Logitech has not been able to develop their own drivers for windows and are instead relying on Xbox drivers. I did and the controller did work partially but at random times while playing Metro Last light the play would stop and randomly start spinning in circles and looking up and down. I eventually got frustrated enough that i took it back and bought an Xbox 360 controller and it has worked perfectly.

I do not recommend this controller for anyone on Windows 8.1.
